Two and half months of „summer break“ (no classes for those who enrolled for the normal version of the program) passed very quickly. On Monday 14th September we all met again – now in Zurich, financial center of Switzerland. Everybody seemed to be happy to see those well known faces of ours. We spotted a couple of new classmates who integrated into our group very quickly (our group is becoming more and more international – we got two new classmates – from Uruguay and Malaysia).
Ass.iur. Felix Heyde, E.M.B.L.-HSG alumnus of the course 2013/2014, has been promoted as 'Head of Legal Germany' at British American Tobacco (BAT) as of 1 July 2015.
In his new position, Felix is heading the legal department. The department's responsibilities include regulatory questions and Brand & Trade marketing of the world's largest plant of BAT in Bayreuth, including Product Development and Research.
In the 'Salzburger Nachrichten' from 26 September 2016, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Carl Baudebacher, President of the EFTA Court and Director of the Executive M.B.L.-HSG, speaks about Switzerland and Austria in the EU and EEA context.

This year’s alumni event was my last annual event as president and was therefore a very special event. In addition we celebrated the 20th anniversary of the E.M.B.L.-HSG program.
