Hildegard Becker-Toussaint studied Law and Social Science in Frankfurt, Berlin and Georgetown University (D.C.). She worked as judge in the district court, both in the civil and in the criminal section in Frankfurt and later for the ministry of justice/Hessen as a training officer for judges and public prosecutors.
From 1995, she worked with the state attorney, first as head of the department for narcotics, organized crime, international business crime, money laundering, and crimes against the environment. Later, the press department was added to the responsibilities, as well as controlling and training of the lower ranked press officers in the state.
Since her retirement in 2009, Hildegard Becker-Toussaint is managing a training office for corporates in the field of anti-corruption, compliance and press-handling while under criminal investigation; she also works for Public Relations at the University of Frankfurt.
